Grade 4, 5 , 6 advice

The Best Grade's Ever!

Heres some helpful tips!

                                        Intro

Hey guys don't be to worried about grade 4, 5 and 6 because at first it might feel scary but it's not, it's actually really fun! You can get demerits but only if you're bad or forget to do something!

                                         

                                        Reflection

I have loved grade 4, 5 and 6 because they have all been a very pleasant experience! I did get demerits a lot of the time but only because I forgot to sign my homework so remember to do that and never forget your ipad. I hope you have even better years than I do! You better do well like me or you'll be stuck in the same grade for 2 years!


               

                                         Highlights!

We do a lot of fun tasks in Grade 4, 5 and 6. Here is one example, making melted chocolate, but that's not all! you also get to eat the chocolate! You will do even better tasks than I did because I know you want to do the most creative tasks and a lot of the tasks that I did won't happen for you because they always try different tasks with the kids! 

                                          Excitement For 2018

You should be super excited because you are going to use ipads and other technological items! You will get older which means you will be allowed to do stuff that you couldn't do before! You will be closer to getting your own house where you can make your own rules! You will even gain more knowledge! ( knowledge means knows a lot) 

                                        

Learning About Email Etiquette

I learnt about five new useful tools
1. Use a salutation
2. Include a specific subject line
3. Keep it to-the-point
4. Be professional
5. Sign and proofread

I emailed Miss crous and I used all 5 of these steps. It was really easy to understand the concept of this project. Which made it even funner for me! It was the funnest IT project I have ever done!
I'm now going to explain the 5 points
1.) Use a salutation: Say for example, Good morning mrs whoever or good afternoon Mrs Whoever or Dear Mrs Whoever
2.) Include a specific subject line: Say what you are going to talk about E.G I just wanted to ask about the homework
3.) keep it to-the-point: Don't write a super long sentence instead just write a nice and easy sentence that is also easy to read E.g Why do we have to draw it instead of painting it. E.g on what NOT to do: Why do we have to draw and write and and and and why do we not just use paint brushes?
4.) Be professional: Don't write in slang and write with random capital letters in the middle of a word E.g Hello Mrs Kent you are a great teacher. What NOT to do E.g heLlo Mrs kENt yOu Are a grEaT tEacHEr!
5.)Sign and proofread: say goodbye and check for spelling mistakes E.g  Salyoutations Teo

Wonder

The book I am about to tell you about is wonder it is a extraordinary  book about a kid with a strange face not (deformed) because that would be rude. His name is August but everybody calls him Auggie. It's about a kid who is about to go to a proper school but stands out *A LOT*. He makes two friends and in the end everyone likes him even the bully. but you only find out about that in the special chapter. The author of Wonder is Raquel J. Palacio

When I read this book what stands out the most for me is that it is telling me people usually look at the outside and don't look on the inside or at least they try not to. It stands out to me the most because I sometimes do that to.

It has made me decide to choose kind more. It has also made me think before I say things I don't mean to say. This story has changed me in many ways.

I would identify myself similar to Jack because I try to protect my friend who is pretty similar to Auggie but at the same time he isn't it's kind of strange. Jack is sometimes brave and I'm sometimes brave. He's kind hearted I'm mostly kind hearted. Jack cares for his friends I care for my friends.

Wonder is a *wonder*ful book to read and I think It's one of my favourites. I really enjoyed so it think you would too. I love this book and I am excited for the movie! I also like how it is in a school.

Superhero Blog

                      Superhero Project

We had to start by deciding what characters we would use so we decided to use Luigi and a made up character named Mutated Craw.

We had to paint a background and we decided to use a city we called it (Attack of the Craw). Then we had to make a keynote about everything we had to do. Then our next lesson with Mrs Kent we had to make a story board, so far me and my friend aren't following the story board but we are trying. The next time we did it my friend was sick so I had to do all the painting by myself and it was really hard. Then when it was time to make my stopmotion we didn't have the things we needed but that gave us time to plan so we made Mutated Craw have a bit of blue radiation on the back of his head because he was tested on in a lab, a scar on his eye from breaking the test tube and the glass hitting his eye and a cross scar on his chest from when he mutated. We made that when he eats things he grows bigger and he has super strength. we made that Luigi acts like a idiot and he has no special powers except for being funny and from a from a game. The only thing special about him is he comes back from the dead.

2017

                                               2017                                   2017 is going to be the best year ever.  we're finally in grade 6 and soon we will be in the high school.  I hope I'll make new friends this year too.  I love our teachers, especially Mr walker because I love maths!  Mrs Kent is my new main teacher and she is very nice!  School is always fun and being at Elkanah House is even better!  We don't have proper homework for home anymore which is great!  Mrs Copeland is always really funny and cool/weird all the time.  Mrs Calitz is also a really nice teacher like Mrs Kent and she is our Afrikaans teacher!  My favorite subject is Maths and my least favorite is LIS.   I bet 2017 is going to be fun and we're going to learn a lot.   Today was awesome and hopefully tomorrow will be great too!
